Sam Konstas and Marnus Labuschagne had contrasting returns in the opening round of the Sheffield Shield, building up to the all-important 2025-26 Ashes. Konstas made 1 and 14 across his two innings for NSW while Labuschagne scored a big hundred, making 160 for Queensland. Cameron Green, meanwhile returned to bowling after a long gap and found immediate success.
