A woman was detained by locals near Pantheeramkavu, Kozhikode, after she allegedly tried to steal jewellery from Souparnika Jewellery. Police said she sprayed pepper spray at the shop owner and later poured a petrol-scented liquid on herself in an attempt to set herself on fire. Locals overpowered her, tied her legs, and handed her over to the police.
