BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) and other party leaders were detained by police after they staged a protest demanding urea for the farmers in Telangana amid fertiliser crisis in the state. They were detained after they submitted their petition in the Agriculture Commissionerate. Later, KTR stepped down from the detention vehicle and walked to the Telangana Secretariat.
