The Kuki-Zo Council has welcomed PM Narendra Modi's visit to Manipur on Saturday, while reiterating its demand for a separate administration in the form of a Union Territory. It said the "demand arises not from convenience, but from necessity for peace, security, and survival of our people". The body added, "We continue to uphold our faith in the democratic spirit."
