Kyrgyzstan has announced that it will convert Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions to organic farming by 2029 as part of the national 'Organic 2025 to 2029' program. The organic farming initiative aims to convert 200,000 hectares to organic cultivation. Agriculture accounts for nearly 9% of country's GDP and provides employment to 28% of our population.
