Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a ₹2,500-5,000 crore order from NHSRCL to build 156 km of ballastless track for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail. Package T1 includes 21 km underground and 135 km on elevated viaduct. Using Japanese Shinkansen J Slab Track technology, L&T now handles over 50% of total track-work, leveraging prior metro and rail experience.
