L&T gained after its transportation infrastructure unit won a large order worth ₹2,500-5,000 crore from NHSRCL for constructing 156 km of high-speed ballastless track under Package T1 of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The scope includes elevated and underground works, adopting Japanese Shinkansen J Slab Track Technology for speeds up to 320 kmph.
