The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has opened the 91-km Hanle-Chumar road in Ladakh. Built under Project Himank at 14,500-17,200 ft, it links Hanle with Chumar along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The road boosts border security, will help Armed Forces, and improves access for locals and tourists, officials said. It also connects sites like Hanle Observatory and Tso Moriri.
