MP CM Mohan Yadav announced that the monthly assistance under the 'Ladli Behna Yojana' will be increased from ₹1,250 to ₹1,500 starting this Diwali. The amount would be increased to ₹3,000 in a phased manner, he added. He also announced that an additional ₹250 "shagun" (token amount given as blessing) would be sent to them next month on Raksha Bandhan.
