The Euclid Consortium has released Flagship 2, the largest simulation of the universe ever made. It maps 3.4 billion galaxies and tracks the gravitational pull of over 4 trillion particles. Designed by astrophysicist Joachim Stadel of the University of Zurich, the simulation ran on Piz Daint, the world's third most powerful supercomputer.
