Pakistani Police initially claimed that the blast was caused by explosives belonging to the militant group Tehrik-e-Taliban. However, Abdul Ghani Afridi, a provincial legislator from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, exposed the lies of the Pakistani Armed Forces and police after visiting the site. Afridi showed fragments of an LS-6 bomb, confirming that it was dropped by PAF from a JF-17 fighter jet.
