The Leonids meteor shower will reach its peak late on November 16, continuing into the early hours of November 17. Originating from debris shed by comet Tempel-Tuttle, the meteors appear to radiate from the Leo constellation, flashing across the sky at about 70km/s. For the best view, one can watch the sky before dawn when Leo rises high overhead.
