The Allahabad High Court stated that live-in relationships often harm women’s prospects of finding a life partner after a breakup. The court observed that while men can remarry even after multiple live-ins, women face societal judgment. It added that such relationships conflict with the values of Indian middle-class society and do not align with women’s best interests.
