London-based Hindi scholar Francesca Orsini was reportedly deported by the immigration officers at the Delhi airport on Monday despite her holding a valid five-year e-visa. Orsini said that no clear reason was provided as to why she was being sent back and she only knew she was "being deported". Orsini is Professor Emerita at SOAS University of London.
