Following violence in Bareilly after protests outside Ala Hazrat Dargah, President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, appealed to public to maintain peace. "The love for the Prophet should be in hearts, not on streets," he said. "The methods used to express love for the Prophet are inappropriate..I advise against holding demonstrations...during festivals," he added.
