Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Lok Sabha's passing of a bill to set up an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Assam is a historic occasion. "With an IIT, AIIMS, and now IIM, Assam is on the precipice of becoming a major education hub of Eastern India," he said. The IIM campus will come up near Guwahati.
