McLaren CEO Zak Brown termed the claim that he was opposed to his team signing Oscar Piastri three years ago "ludicrous". His response came after four-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou stated at a court hearing last week that Brown had told him in 2022 that hiring Piastri had not been his decision. Piastri had made his McLaren debut in 2023.
