Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) has been reported in cattle across 10 Indian states in 2025, the Centre informed the Parliament. The active cases are currently in Maharashtra. Nearly 300 cattle in Gujarat were infected in just 15 days. Over 28 crore animals have been vaccinated since 2022, as the Centre steps up efforts to control the viral outbreak.
