Lyft CEO David Risher, who led Microsoft Access' development, recalled how Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates tried to stop him from quitting Microsoft to move to Amazon in 1996. Risher recounted Gates saying, "You're leaving this company for some tiny, little internet bookstore that nobody has ever heard of…that has got to be the stupidest decision I've ever heard anyone make."
