VIT researchers identified the Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) AI model as the most reliable tool for predicting the sun's seasonal strength (GHI) across India's extreme climates. GPR achieved up to a 189.1% error reduction compared to other models, which is vital for planning stable and cost-efficient Stand-Alone Photovoltaic (SAPV) systems nationwide.
