Madagascar's hissing cockroaches "cuddle" when the atmospheric conditions get too dry, as per a study published in the journal Ethology. The researchers stated that this behaviour prevents these cockroaches from drying out. "[The study shows that] even large adult insects rely on behavioural plasticity to cope with environmental stressors," one of the researchers of the study said.
