A 45-year-old cleric in UP's Meerut has been arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year-old Madrassa student multiple times and forcing her to abort three pregnancies. The woman told police she endured brutal confinement and repeated abuse after being misled by marriage promises. The survivor was living in the same house as the cleric, who is reportedly her relative.
