The Madurai District and Session Court condemned two government doctors for allegedly altering medical reports to hide signs of torture in the Muthu Karthik assault case. Departmental proceedings were ordered against Dr Jeyakumar, who performed the post-mortem, and Dr Srilatha, the hospital’s Resident Medical Officer.
