Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said he has moved "heaven and earth" to address Bengaluru's garbage problem, alleging that "big mafias" are not allowing the Congress-led government to solve the issue. "Even the BJP government was not successful, I am also not successful as of today," he stated. Shivakumar added that managing Bengaluru city is not an easy job.
