Trends during the counting of votes for Maharashtra Assembly elections showed that CM Eknath Shinde is leading on the Kopri-Pachpakhadi seat with over 19,000 votes. Shinde is contesting against Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Kedar Dighe, nephew of his late mentor Anand Dighe, and Independent Manoj Shinde. Manoj Shinde was recently expelled from the Congress for anti-party activities.
