Maharashtra government has handed over the 23.3-km Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro line expansion to Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Mahametro). Earlier managed by PMRDA, over 90% of the work is complete. The PPP-based line with 23 stations, including Hinjawadi and Shivajinagar, will be fully operational by March 2026, aiming to enhance Pune's IT and business district connectivity.
