Two children, aged seven and 13, have tested positive for human metapneumovirus (HMPV) in Nagpur, the first cases in Maharashtra. They were initially tested for H1N1 flu with Tamiflu but PCR tests confirmed it to be HMPV. Nagpur Municipal Corporation decided to re-test the samples at AIIMS Nagpur. These cases were discussed in an ICMR video conference on Monday.
