Mahagathbandhan candidate Sakaldeo Bind from the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) withdrew from the Tarapur seat for the Bihar Assembly elections on Monday and joined BJP. He met Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, who is BJP's candidate from Tarapur seat and extended his support to him. Notably, RJD, which is part of Mahagathbandhan, has also fielded its candidate from Tarapur.
