Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad of Baroda criticised Netflix show 'The Royals' for its portrayal of Indian royal families. She said, "Politically motivated propaganda of stereotypical Rajas soaked in whiskey and profligacy and Ranis in chiffons and pearls, continues to define us." She added, "Some of [the] finest statesmen, diplomats...bureaucrats, Army officers...[emerged] from (India's) royalty."
