A 32-year-old Canara Bank assistant manager, Mayur Nepale, stole ₹1.58 crore from his branch strongroom in Maharashtra's Bhandara after falling into online betting debt. Inspired by Karnataka gold heist, he cut power, disabled cameras, and used duplicate keys. His scooter's CCTV footage exposed him, leading to his arrest within 24 hours. Police recovered ₹96.12 lakh and other assets.
