Amid a surge in leopard attacks across Maharashtra's sugarcane belt, the Govt revised school timings in affected areas to 9:30 am-4 pm so students travel only in daylight. At a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, officials also approved funds for cages, equipment, and two leopard centres, while exploring permissions to eliminate leopards declared man-eaters.
