The Maharashtra government has withdrawn its decision to make Hindi the default third language in primary schools amid row. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the Government Resolution mandating Hindi has been scrapped. He also announced a new expert committee, headed by Dr Narendra Jadhav, to guide the state on implementing the NEP’s three-language policy.
