Maharashtra government has mandated the formation of Vishakha Committees in private companies to safeguard women's rights and dignity at workplaces. The government will conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to the mandate. The decision was announced by Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare.
