Maharashtra has sought urgent NDRF aid to tackle widespread damage from the 2025 floods affecting Marathwada, Konkan, Vidarbha, and Western Maharashtra. The state requests funds for relief, rehabilitation, and restoring homes, farmland, livestock, and infrastructure, as losses exceed SDRF capacity. The Centre has already approved ₹1,566.40 crore for immediate assistance.
