A 53‑year‑old Filipino domestic helper, Pido Erlinda Ocampo, was fined S$13,000 (around ₹8.8 lakh) by a Singapore court for moonlighting. She took on secret part‑time cleaning jobs for two households besides her official employer. One of the illegal hirers was also fined S$7,000 (₹4.7 lakh). Foreign domestic workers are barred from other employment even on rest days in Singapore.
