PM Narendra Modi said majority of daily use items will be cheaper after GST reforms. "Food items, medicines, soap, brush, paste, health and life insurance, etc. will either be tax-free or only 5% tax will have to be paid," he stated. "Out of the goods which were earlier taxed at 12%, 99% of...items have...come under...slab of 5% tax," PM said.
