Malaysian police arrested 36 Bangladeshi nationals who were involved in spreading ISIS ideology and planning operations to destabilise the Bangladeshi government from abroad. The arrests were made as part of multi-phase counter-terror operation conducted between April and June across Selangor and Johor. Reportedly, Malaysia hosts nearly 5,00,000 Bangladeshi workers, many of whom are undocumented.
