Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu on Monday agreed to let India deploy defence platforms and assets in the country. This comes a few months after his government had made India withdraw all its military personnel stationed in Maldives. India will also provide radar systems and other equipment to Maldives to help enhance surveillance and monitoring capability of Maldives National Defence Force.
