Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu arrived in India on Sunday to attend PM-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. Muizzu was received by External Affairs Ministry Secretary (West) Pavan Kapoor with MEA sharing pictures. This is the first India visit of Muizzu, said to be 'pro-China', after he came to power in 2023. Maldivian officials' remarks on Modi had earlier triggered tensions.
