The Maldives will now have access to Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services as it signed the implementation agreement on Friday with India's NPCI during PM Narendra Modi’s ongoing visit to the island-nation. This initiative will boost trade between the two countries by making business payments faster. India will also extend a line of credit worth $565 million to the Maldives.
