UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated children suffering from malnutrition in Gaza has increased six-fold since March 2025. On Thursday, he said that such children would die if emergency provisions aren't provided immediately. He said, "Many will not have strength to undergo new displacement...It's manufactured and fabricated famine." Israel denied these claims earlier this month.
