After a massive fire broke out at a Kolkata market, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced ₹1 lakh compensation for people whose shops were completely burnt and ₹50,000 for those whose shops were partially burnt. CM Mamata said, "We've instructed the mayor to completely rebuild the market in a scientific way so that there is no problem in the future."
