BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra criticised the TMC government in West Bengal over the law college gang rape case and said, "CM Mamata Banerjee takes all these brutal rape incidents quite lightly." He listed down TMC's "callous" responses to rape cases over the years including MP Kalyan Banerjee's latest remark of, "What can be done if a friend rapes a friend?"
