West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee congratulated Nepal's interim PM Sushila Karki. "West Bengal has borders with Nepal, and close people-to-people relations. We look forward to nurturing the deep-rooted ties of friendship and cooperation as neighbours," she said. Karki took office on Friday following the resignation of former PM KP Sharma Oli, which led to the fall of the existing government.
