West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday presented a new OBC list in Assembly and said that backwardness was the only benchmark to decide OBC status. "There is no question of making the OBC list based on religion," she added. West Bengal Commission for Backward Classes recommended the inclusion of 76 castes to the existing 64 on the OBC list.
