West Bengal Police on Saturday clashed with protesters in Kolkata and resorted to lathi charge as parents of the RG Kar trainee doctor, who was raped and killed last year, led a march to the state secretariat. The victim's mother alleged that police assaulted her during the clash. "CM Mamata Banerjee's police roughed me up...and broke my bangles," she claimed.
