A Shivling which is believed to date back to the Mahabharata era was vandalised at the Billeshwar Mahadev temple in UP's Unnao, officials said. A man named Awadhesh Kurmi was arrested in connection to the vandalisation, they added. Kurmi was mentally disturbed due to his wife's ill health and admitted to vandalising the idol, said a senior police official.
