A man from Greater Noida has been arrested for allegedly generating fake invoices of around ₹10 crore to fraudulently claim input tax credit of ₹1.8 crore, police said. The accused allegedly colluded with an accomplice to carry out the fraud while working in accounts section of a private company and handling filings on GST and tax-return portals, police added.
