The Chhattisgarh High Court acquitted an 83-year-old former bill assistant of MP State Road Transport Corporation (MPSRTC), Jageshwar Prasad Awadhiya. He was accused of taking a ₹100 bribe in 1986 and got a one-year jail term in 2004. "I've lost everything because of this case," he said, adding that his family struggled financially as his salary was halved after suspension.
