Sundaram Verma has grown 60,000 plants in the last 30-35 years in Rajasthan by using one litre of water per plant. Sundaram stated he ploughs soil about 20 centimetres deep after first monsoon rains which helps the soil absorb more water. Sundaram added he ploughs again just before monsoon ends, deeper, creating a natural moisture reservoir beneath the surface.
